KingsAgeX :: bugfix

by Arxleol on Monday 15.06.2009, under KingsAgeX

Today after first day of availability of script some 60 ppl installed and used script and some of them have informed me that script doesn’t work for members without premium account on kingsage. And therefore here is first bugfix of the script that allows also none premium members to use script.

Also I have added alert that informs member after update! button has been clicked when update is in fact finished.

    I’m well aware that exist a bug made for admis to have advantage over other players (so it is not realy a bug)
    I know for sure that what they do is to manipulate the sistem to set up multiple queues on the barracks. Those queues will produce units at the same time, resulting on a drastic reduction of total production time.
    Would you be able to use your skills and investigate a little further??
    All I can tell is that the “trick” is on adding queues.

    Excuse my poor english, i’m just getting started.

    Hello,

    Thanks for suggestion however there is very little I can do about this since all calculations are executed on server side. And since I don’t have access to their servers I cannot help you with this.

    Though I am aware that there was bug that allowed you to build troops faster, however that was fixed.

    On the other hand if you have any more suggestions I will for sure consider them. Currently I am working on allowing nonepremium members to be able to change fast link stripe.

    The bug I’ve just mention still works. My source is a php programer who claims to have found the way to manipulate the queues. The reason why I consider this kind of bugs should be exposed is very simple: cheating isn’t fair, and many players are using it, breaking the balance of the game.
    I don’t know to much about php, but there has to be a way to indicate that another queue is being added instead of adding items to an existing queue. Do you remember how it used to be? I mean, prior to version 0.1.12: 1 queue for infantry, another for cavalry and a last one for siege machines.
    If I were seeking for any personal advantage, I wouldn’t be using a public forum, would I?

    yes I totally agree with you on your points. But there is nothing I can do as PHP is server side language so without any real hacking or access to the server I cannot do anything, and there is no way for me to expose this bug if there is such error. However, if I come upon something I’ll make sure to report it.

    On the other hand if you have some idea that I can do I will gladly listen.

    Thanks for your time,
    Ax
